HPPA Cultural Festival- 11 April

On 11 April, year 3-4 students took part in a Korean dance to represent Macleans Primary School at Howick and Pakuranga Primary School Cultural Festival. They used mini drums (sogo in Korean) as the dancers danced to the energetic song about a salt merchant who was a popular character in the end of 19th and the beginning of 20th century. The girls did a superb job in their performance. Well done!

Room 1- 11 April

Room 1 made three-dimensional Easter eggs on wood and they enjoyed the hands-on experience. Woodwork is a great way to develop hand-eye coordination and muscular strength.

First, they drew the shape of an egg and hammered the nails around it. After that, they put thread around their egg and decorated using pom poms. Their Easter eggs look very cute.
